Our Approach & Philosophy
A Thoughtful Approach to Wealth, Rooted in Integrity
Pacific Hawk Global Fund OFC works with professional investors and family offices who seek more than short-term gains. They want stability. Clarity. A partner who understands that wealth is personal.

We take a long-term, risk-conscious approach to portfolio construction — grounded in discipline, diversification, and deep due diligence.

Our approach is tailored, discreet, and grounded in decades of global experience — built for families who seek meaning alongside performance.
Capital Preservation Comes First
We protect wealth through market cycles using a balanced, low-correlation blend of equity and hedge fund strategies.
Who Manages the Fund Matters Most
We invest only with managers who demonstrate consistent skill, transparency, and alignment with our values — often forming long-standing partnerships across cycles and regions.
Performance Without Volatility
Our multi-manager structure generates risk-adjusted returns while smoothing out sharp fluctuations.
Liquidity and Flexibility
The fund offers monthly liquidity with 60-day notice, helping investors stay nimble without compromising the integrity of long-term positions.
Investment Strategy
Pacific Hawk OFC is a globally balanced fund that combines the strengths of actively managed hedge funds and equity funds to deliver risk-adjusted performance through all market cycles.
Multi-Manager Portfolio
We invest in a curated selection of top-tier discretionary, systematic, and quantitative managers.
Diversified Allocation
Typically 50–70% equities, 30–50% hedge funds, dynamically adjusted to suit market conditions.
Low Correlation Approach
We focus on strategies that perform well in market downturns, aiming to reduce volatility and preserve capital.
Risk Management
Our “all-weather” design is structured to withstand market turbulence. By integrating non-correlated assets and active rebalancing, we aim to cushion against drawdowns while remaining opportunistic in bull markets.

Leadership
Ann Cooley
Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Pacific Hawk Global Fund OFC |
Pacific Hawk Asset Management | Cooley Family Office
“I believe wealth should unify families, not divide them. That’s how Pacific Hawk guides capital with care, and builds legacies that last.”
— Ann Cooley
A Global Investor with a Human Touch

Ann Cooley is not just the founder of Pacific Hawk Global Fund OFC — she is the heart, strategist, and steward. With over 30 years of global investment experience, Ann has built a rare reputation at the intersection of finance, emotional intelligence, and family legacy.

She began her career managing assets for iconic families such as the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, and Cadburys, and has since become one of Asia’s most trusted advisors to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and multi-generational entrepreneurs.

In 1997, long before Hong Kong was recognized as a global family office hub, Ann founded Pacific Hawk Asset Management with a visionary belief: that Asia’s rising families deserved a more empathetic, strategic, and globally minded approach to wealth.

She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Faculty of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a qualified Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She is also a trained Family Mediator (HKIAC) and Collaborative Practitioner (HKCPG), often called on to guide families through complex financial transitions and conflicts.

Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, Ann moves comfortably between cultures, bridging the gaps between East and West— and between generations.

As the Chief Investment Officer andPortfolio Manager of Pacific Hawk OFC, she actively oversees the fund’s multi-manager strategy — and invests in every underlying fund her clients are exposed to. This alignment ensures she shares in their outcomes, good and bad —a rare standard of integrity in the industry.

Ann leads with one principle: “Preserve harmony. Build legacy. Act with integrity.” This philosophy informs every aspect of Pacific Hawk OFC’s investment strategy and client engagement. It’s why many of Ann’s clients have remained with her for decades, passing the relationship down from one generation to the next.

AsDirector, he plays a strategic role in shaping the fund’s long-term direction and aligning its approach with the evolving needs of global families.

James is also a Partner at Ajia Group, a multi-family office focused on nurturing private investment partnerships with a strong cross-border emphasis. His career spans early roles in pension investments at New York Life, followed by senior positions at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital in both New York and Hong Kong. There, he was known for championing financial market reforms and executing complex, proprietary deals for high-level clients throughout Asia and the Gulf.

He holds a BS from Binghamton University, an MS from George Mason University, and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he continues to serve on the Advisory Board, covering East Asian markets.

His philosophy mirrors Pacific Hawk’s ethos: that wealth should be managed with care, clarity, and a long-term, multigenerational lens.

Within Pacific Hawk’s leadership, James brings analytical depth, cultural fluency, and a steady hand to every investment dialogue. His insight helps ensure the fund remains grounded, globally relevant, and personally attuned to each client’s goals.
